The first testimonies of Tremosine with the title of ‘Comune’ appear on May 12th, 1268 - from this historical moment onwards, Tremosine sul Garda and its eighteen villages form one marvelous territory, that can also be discovered looking for small things.

The emblem of the Municipality of Tremosine sul Garda has a unique design - three rocky mountains surrounded by blue sky and divided by two slits, a Latin cross to the right on the central mountain, and blue and silver waves to indicate water and springs. On the top there’s a writing in silver, reading ‘Et tu viator vale’, which means "And you, wayfarer, take care", and a crown that symbolizes the municipality. In the lower part of the emblem there are two branches that surround the shield, one of green oak with gold acorns, and a green laurel one with golden berries, tied by a ribbon with the colours of Italy.

The treasure hunt looking for emblems all over Tremosine sul Garda tarts from the Town Hall - there, we can admire the first example right above the entrance to the offices of the city municipality.

The second place where we can find the emblem of Tremosine sul Garda is the Church dedicated to St. John the Baptist: there, on the side door pointed the north, you’ll find the oldest example of the original coat of arms, which shows a profile of three curly heads, marked with the letters 'C' and 'T', initials of Comunitas Tremoseni.

The third and last location is the heart of Pieve di Tremosine sul Garda, Piazza Cozzaglio: the coat of arms here is set in the pavement, and it is made with colourful stones that form the decorations and design of the emblem.
