Pieve di Tremosine sul Garda, between lake and sky

This village is truly one of a kind, full of century-old traditions, where days are still marked by the rhythm of nature, the undisputed queen of this place - in fact, alongside natural beauty there is no shortage of culture, food and wine.

The charm of Tremosine sul Garda cannot be denied - even reaching the village via the legendary Strada della Forra is a real adventure. Tremosine sul Garda is a place that bewitches visitors with unique landscapes, halfway between the sweet, Mediterranean nature of the lake, and rugged, wild mountains.

What makes these small Italian villages so special?

First of all, villages that belong to the exclusive ‘I Borghi più belli d’Italia’ association must have certain characteristic - for instance, having a maximum of 2000 inhabitants in the historic centre.

However, the title extends not only to the historic centre but also to the entire municipal area, which must not exceed 15,000 inhabitants.

For this reason, the village of Pieve has been declared as one of ‘I Borghi più belli d’Italia’, representing all the 18 hamlets that form the Municipality of Tremosine.

The villages that belong to the club must all have something unique in terms of architecture and town planning, as well as something to offer from the point of view of nature, food and wine.

One of the most important aspects is that the residents should care about the promotion and valorization of their village. In Tremosine sul Garda, this happens with the organization of events and activities to promote local traditions, such as the Notte Romantica and Life in the Villages, which focuses on food and wine.

A curious fact: do you know how many Lombard villages belong to the association ‘I Borghi più belli d’Italia’? Besides Tremosine sul Garda, there are 19 other villages in the region that can be proud of this title. One of them is Gardone Riv
