Mountain Festival
The yearly appointment with the Mountain Festival (Festa della Montagna) returns this August, around Great War locations in Passo Nota.
The celebration begins at 10.30 with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by Mass at the First World War military cemetery, and later at the mountain hut of the Alpine group of Vesio, you’ll have the chance to taste the famous “polenta cusa" - the Alpines have a really delicious secret recipe for it. Joy is guaranteed, in the midst of lush nature.
The festival can be an opportunity for a hike and to follow the trails linking the various stations, cave ambushes, pitches for cannons, all connected by military roads carved into the rock and by a network of paths that are still practicable today.
All routes start from the Alpine Mountain Hut of Passo Nota.
